Soft tissue ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging modality that uses ultrasound waves to assess structures lying between skin and superficial muscle fascia.

The most common pathology diganosed during soft tissue ultrasound:

  • fibroma,
  • lipoma,
  • neuroma,
  • hematoma,
  • vein thrombosis,
  • cysts.

Indications for the examination:

  • pain,
  • swelling,
  • palpable mass.

Preparing for the examination:

There are no special demands.
