Wrist Ultrasound
Wrist ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging modality that uses ultrasound waves to assess wrist structures.
During the ultrasound examination we also assess the median nerve to diagnose carpal tunnel syndrome.
Anatomical structures we assess:
- joint cavities,
- bone contours,
- joint capsule and ligaments,
- triangle cartilage,
- muscles and tendons,
- median and ulnar nerves.
Preparing for the examination:
There are no special demands.
