Wrist Ultrasound

Wrist ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging modality that uses ultrasound waves to assess wrist structures.

During the ultrasound examination we also assess the median nerve to diagnose carpal tunnel syndrome.

Anatomical structures we assess:

  • joint cavities,
  • bone contours,
  • joint capsule and ligaments,
  • triangle cartilage,
  • muscles and tendons,
  • median and ulnar nerves.

Preparing for the examination:

There are no special demands.
