Diabetic Neuropathic Pain
Diabetic Neuropathic Pain
Diabetic neuropathy is the most common complication of diabetes mellitus.
Diabetic neuropathy affects all peripheral nerves, most of all the nerves of leg and feet. In an advanced stage it can lead to the complication called ‘’ diabetic foot’’. Studies suggest that smoking, alcohol, irregular treatment, elevated lipid parameters may be the risk factor for the development of peripheral diabetic neuropathy.
Symptoms:
- numbness or pain in hand or feet,
- burning sensation in feet, especially at night,
- loss of sense of touch,
- muscle weakness.
Very important in the prevention and treatment of the diabetic neuropathy is maintaining dietary discipline, avoiding alcohol, smoking and regular taking medicines.
The alternative method of treatment of peripheral diabetic neuropathy is Perineural Injections with buffered glucose called Perineural Injection Treatment developed by Dr John Lyftogt. It is a very safe and effective therapy. It is good to remember that diabetic neuropathy is very difficult to treat and sometimes there are not any good results.
Dr. Marcin Goczewski is the first doctor from Poland who took part in the Master Class Lyftogt Perineural Injection Treatment applying this treatment to patients with neuropathic pain with good results.
