Shoulder Ultrasound
Anatomical structures we assess:
- long head biceps tendon,
- contour of epiphysis,
- acromio-clavicular joint,
- shoulder ligaments,
- bursae,
- labrum,
- rotator cuff,
- if indicated brachial plexus.
Indications for ultrasound shoulder examination:
- limitations of shoulder movement,
- shoulder pain,
- shoulder instability,
- shoulder swelling,
- atrophy of shoulder muscles,
- weakness of shoulder strength,
- indications to perform shoulder examination from other doctors.
Preparing for the examination:
There are no special demands.
