Peripheral Nerve Ultrasound
Peripheral Nerve Ultrasound
Peripheral nerve ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging modality that uses ultrasound waves to assess nerve structure.
High frequency probes let us determine the exact site of any nerve entrapment. After receiving real-time images we have the advantage of doing dynamic maneuvers to assess nerve stability.
We assess peripheral nerves of head, trunk, lower and upper exteremity.
Indications for peripheral nerve ultrasound:
- neuropathic pain,
- pain focusing on the scar,
- loss of muscle strength,
- pain after an accident.
Preparing for the examination:
There are no special demands.
